January 2016 Let's get going for the new year!

As we set out to get started on a new year, the life of the church has had many challenges in the past year. Changing the pastor is a huge transition for the church and the pastors, and look at us! We made it!  Now we look forward to setting new goals for the coming year with the planning retreat coming up this coming Sunday. Bring a pot of soup and stay at noon for the planning time with the church council.
We have lost some saints this past year as God called them home, and we have new babies at the church. Lots of new babies!  God's hand is so present of the life of our church. We praise him for helping us establish a new prayer ministry that meets every Tuesday morning and the first Wednesday in January we launched a new worship service at the Anchor House called the Deep End.  We are targeting young people with this service, however all ages are welcome.  The people of Chestnut Grove work hard to follow Christ faithfully and are a service oriented congregation. We are excited about the work God will call us to accomplish in the coming year. I know it is going to be great. Come join us!
